Books for Summer's End
August 17, 2005
Find books to celebrate the last days of summer at Fredericksburg.com today. I'm going to look for Double Dutch, by Veronica Chambers, because, well, I've always wanted to be able to jump rope like that. Do you think that Junior would be game to be part of a Double Dutch team with his mom and dad? Yeah, me either. Sidewalk Chalk: Outdoor Fun and Games, by Jamie Kyle McGillian, too, sounds appealing. And since we're in New England, how can we resist Nadine Bernard Westcott's A Real Nice Clambake, based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein song? Selected by a librarian, these titles aren't brand-spanking new, for the most part, but we don't mind that at all.
