Here Comes the Judge

...on a pony, no less. Retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor has penned Chico, a picture book based on her childhood horseback-riding days. The illustrator is Dan Andreasen, who has drawn for the American Girl series, among other work. Kirkus Reviews says that O'Connor's style is a "bit stiff," but that her true story here is "considerably better than most 'celebrity' picture books."
