More Kelly Link
August 17, 2005
Kelly Link. I mentioned her new book, Magic for Beginners, a few days ago. She writes for adults, not children. Anyway, the literary blogger Maud Newton is featuring an interview of Ms. Link by Stephany Aulenback. I'm going to read it as soon as I finish this post.
Kelly Link tells Ms. Aulenback,
There are visual artists who do things that I wish I could do in fiction. I love Lizbeth Zwerger and Peter Sis. I like narrative art, children’s book art, comic book art. I used to work in a children’s bookstore and I still splurge on picture books sometimes. I love the Joan Aiken books, which Edward Ardizzonne (and Pat Marriott and Edward Gorey) illustrated.
Thank you to Tingle Alley for the interview alert. (I have Bloglines. How did I miss this?)
And, again, adieu. This time I mean it.
