Grandmotherly Library Presence
October 02, 2005
A school library volunteer in the Boston area has retired after a mere 49 years of service. There's a nice story about Annette Olney and her extraordinary stint, on Boston.com today. You'll never guess what the 85-year-old is going to do now that she has more time on her hands.
My grandfather loved the police scanner, too. What a charming story.

Kelly, I would be hooked if I had a scanner, too. In the pre-cellphone days (when dinosaurs roamed the earth), I had a CB radio.
