Husky Book Happening Nov. 11-12
November 08, 2005
This fair at UConn looks like fun. The beneficiary is the Northeast Children's Literature Collection, which houses some papers of my hero James Marshall, plus large Ruth Krauss and Tomie dePaola archives. Why is there no biography of James Marshall? Somebody, write one, please.
Friends of mine used to wile away the hours in Storrs by going cow-tipping, but a post-fair visit to the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry might be less hazardous. It's the "official museum for puppetry of the state of Connecticut." I imagine the competition was stiff; all those Connecticut puppetry museums vying for that "official" designation.
