Poetry Recommendations

The Jackson, Mississippi, bookstore Lemuria highlights three children's selections for National Poetry Month; one of these titles was new to me. The store gives some Easter suggestions, too.  To order, contact Lemuria, which is a mighty fine place.

  • Poetry Speaks to Children, edited by Elise Paschen
  • The Beauty of the Beast, a 1997 anthology compiled by Jack Prelusky
  • Carnival of the Animals: Poems Inspired by Saint-SaĆ«ns' Music, edited by Judith Chernaik

Both Poetry Speaks and Carnival come with a CD.
