New Blog: Making Books

Here is a blog I just read about on the Child_Lit listserv. Thank you to Michael Joseph, for pointing out this site; I think many of us will get some good ideas from it.

The blog is called Making Books with Children, and the first project described is constructing a medieval book. So many children thrive on this kind of hands-on approach to literacy, and I look forward to hearing more from Susan Kapuscinski Gaylord. Welcome to the kidlitosphere, Making Books!

Susan is great. I once participated in a bookmaking workshop she led at my school.

Elaine, are you on the child_lit listserv? I find out some interesting things there, though mostly I lurk.

Susan, I'm not on the child_lit listserv.

I enjoy reading Child_Lit, which I get in the digest form. Otherwise, it's just too much email. Lots of good information in there.
