PEN Censorship Forum
March 02, 2007
The Children's/Young Adult Book Authors Committee at PEN has begun an online discussion about censorship. The group invites comments and opinions on three opening essays, one of which is by Mary Ann Hobermann, who has had a fifty-year career writing poetry for children. Her latest book, though, is a novel for younger readers, and she tells why she doesn't exactly base it on her own life.
PEN is the highly regarded "world’s oldest human rights organization and the oldest international literary organization." For more info, go here.
