Madeleine L'Engle, 1918-2007

The renowned author of A Wrinkle in Time and some 60  more books died yesterday. The Hartford Courant and The New York Times have obituaries. Scott Westerfeld also wrote one for New York Magazine's Vulture blog. And John Podhoretz remembers a neighbor who went out of her way to treat a young fan with kindness, at The Corner (part of The National Review).
