A.L. Kennedy Wins Costa

This evening in London, A.L. Kennedy won the Costa Book of the Year for her novel Day. The U.S. edition of the book was published this month by Knopf. (The Costa used to be known as the Whitbread.)
Maud Newton reports that the Scottish author will read in Manhattan (at the 92nd Street Y) tomorrow night, sharing a bill with Roddy Doyle.
